This exclusive optional tour is for guests participating in HIS's "Aomori NEBUTA Festival, Reserved Seats and Bento Dinner" tour.
Experience the world-renowned Aomori Nebuta Festival alongside a knowledgeable guide! You'll be able to join the festivities with peace of mind, knowing your guide is there to assist you.
You'll change into the official "Haneto" (dancer) costume, becoming part of the festival itself. Once the festival begins, you'll join the local residents as a "Haneto" dancer.
After dancing in the festival for a while, your guide will lead you to the reserved seating area, where you can relax and enjoy the Nebuta Festival as a spectator.
Don't just watch the festival – immerse yourself in the experience! This tour allows you to participate and truly feel the heart and soul of the Nebuta Festival.
Meet your guide at the Aomori Prefectural Tourist Center ASPAM.
You'll change into the official "Haneto" costume – the proper attire for participating in the Nebuta Festival. Please note that you will be wearing the costume directly over your undergarments. Local kimono shop staff will assist you with dressing. After changing, you'll walk through the town in your Haneto costume – a perfect opportunity for some photos!
Your guide will then take you to the HIS tour reception desk. After check-in, you'll have free time until the meeting time for the festival. You can enjoy your bento box dinner or explore the nearby shops for drinks and festival-exclusive food.
When it's almost time for the festival to begin, you'll meet your guide again and join the Nebuta Festival! You'll enter the procession and dance as a "Haneto," celebrating alongside local residents.
This tour also allows you to enjoy the Nebuta Festival as a spectator. You won't participate in the parade until the end, but instead, you'll leave the procession early with your guide and head to your pre-reserved seats. Relax and enjoy the view as various Nebuta floats pass before you. You'll also be able to watch the Haneto performers you were just dancing with!
Once the Nebuta Festival is over, you'll change back into your regular clothes. Your clothes and belongings will be delivered to the changing location free of charge. With that, the tour concludes.
